The Americans on D-Day
A Photographic History of the Normandy Invasion
By Martin Morgan
Published by Zenith Press
RRP $59.99 in hardback
The Americans on D-Day is one of two books published by Zenith Press that I received earlier this year. The other is War in the Western Pacific (see next post).
This photographic history of the Normandy invasion contains around 450 photographs of Northern France during the first day and week of its liberation.
For anyone interested in the D-Day campaign, this book offers a fresh look at the campaign. Many of the images have not been published previously.
This is a really well presented book, but what I did discover as I was deciding to write a few paragraphs about it was that it is on special on Booktopia for $8.95, marked down from $89.99 – that is an out and out bargain, although I note the original RRP was $59.99, so the original price might have been inflated a bit.
Here is the link if you want to acquire this book at a price that makes booksellers weep. I’d imagine the freight will be more than the book price. It weighs 1.8 kg.
